GOLDWIN NANAMICA / THE NORTH FACE
GAS as I/F offers a wide range of services for Goldwin, the owner of the patent for north face Japan and south Korea
In February 2005, The North Face opened ‘Unlimited’, a high-end concept store in Tokyo’s Omote Sando Hills. Pursuing the high-level functionality that the outdoor brand is known for, they feature simple, standard lines of merchandise without any unnecessary design frills, using quality materials and flawless tailoring. GAS as Interface also collaborated with international creative agencies that complemented the brand image; Work in Progress, known for its subtle but functional designs, created the logo and Saturday worked on special packaging and communication materials. GAS as I/F also produces the art event, The North Face Earth Kids Project – 7 Nature Usagi and has provided original textile graphics by HI NY, Ahonen & Lamberg and many others.
IN AN EFFORT TO DEEPEN CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE NATURAL WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE, WORK, AND PLAY, WE COMMISSIONED ARTISTS TO INSTALL AN EXHIBITION AND DISPLAYED LIMITED EDITION PRODUCTS FEATURING PRINTS OF THEIR WORK. THIS COLLABORATION WITH THE NORTH FACE AND NANAMICA WAS ENTITLED “ROOTS OF LIFE” AND RAN OVER 7 YEARS.
