Katsuya Kamo is a maverick hair and makeup designer celebrated by Junya Watanabe, Comme des Garçons, Chanel and Undercover to name a few of his collaborators. Katsuya Kamo’s 100 Headpieces exhibited a wide range of the artist’s work or the first time, also recreating Kamo’s atelier, displaying his personal work and cabinets of curiosities along with his own selection of Polaroid sketchbooks and footage from the catwalk.

The exhibition was accompanied by a special edition of GASBOOK: GASBOOK 29 KATSUYA KAMO: 100 HEADPIECES.

“I THINK OF HIM AS AN ARTIST OR HEAD SCULPTOR. IT’S SO INSPIRING SEEING HIM WORK, CREATING BEAUTIFUL, MAGICAL PIECES.” Nicola Formichetti
