A pop-up store for our design/art book, “GASBOOK” will be held at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books from March 27 to April 9.

GASBOOK was born in 1996 as a medium to gather new art and design ideas from around the world to introduce creativity to the world. Since its publication, GASBOOK has remained a timeless reference and pioneer in its field and continues to live on as a platform for introducing artists from around the world.

From the birth of GASBOOK to the early 2000s, it was published not only in the traditional book format but also in original boxed packages of works by artists from around the world in a variety of forms, including T-shirts and CD-ROMs.
There, works by well-known domestic and international artists such as groovisions, TOMATO, Naohiro Ukawa, and Geoff McFeetridgee have been released.

At this pop-up store, visitors will have a rare opportunity to actually see GASBOOK from that era when it took on such a boxed format.

Since the publication of “GASBOOK 01 GROOVISIONS” in 2002, GASBOOK has shifted to a format that features one (or two) creators in each issue and has published 36 issues to date. Studio photos and unique Q&As found in all titles are also a highlight of the book.
From the 2010s, the book introduces graphic artist YOSHIROTTEN, hair designer Katsuya Kamo, art director Yuni Yoshida, artist Jonathan Zawada, and others. In many cases, this is the first collection of works for the creators.
At this pop-up store, GASBOOK, which has been sold out, will be specially available for purchase.

In recent years, the book has also been exhibited at our gallery “CALM&PUNK” and Laforet Museum Harajuku.
Currently, GASBOOK 29 is being re-released at the “KAMO HEAD” exhibition of head designer Katsuya Kamo, which is being held at Omotesando Hills, Space O, until April 2.
